J Archer An unusual album in the Flowers for Bodysnatchers arsenal. Gone are the all encompassing gothic piano movements and industrial grind. Replaced with sweeping electronic pads and deep dark electro vibes. A fresh and exciting spin for the Dark Ambient genre! Favorite track: Love Is Some Damp Inertia.

Martin Neuhold A beautiful, deep, intense and wonderful album. I especially love the contrast between the mellow string pad sounds and the harsher and darker synths. Favourite Tracks: Strange Objects and The Terminal Man.

LJ This is a stunning example of dark ambient music being expanded beyond the bland and dull drones heard so often in an over saturated and under produced genre. SOLARIS adds a soulful whimsy and heart combined with soaring cinematic themes. I found this album having more range and depth than anything else I've heard in recent memory. Favorite track: Half Broken Horses, Pt.2.

A Walker Listening to this album I found myself feeling as if I'd become a part of the narrative. Moving beyond being the observer to a character within the sound and movement. Delving deep into the delicate nature of the Half Broken Horses tracks to riding the symphonic waves and dark ambience of Strange Objects, Monophonic Conversations and Dominion. Then the album slides into a darker soulful caprice with Love Is Some Damp Inertia and Rheya. The album builds tension and mood in constantly unique ways. Favorite track: Dominion.

Solaris is an album based on the 1961 Polish philosophical science fiction novel by Stanisław Lem. The book centers upon the themes of the nature of human memory, experience and the ultimate inadequacy of communication between human and non-human species.

In probing and examining the oceanic surface of the planet Solaris from a hovering research station the human scientists are, in turn, being studied by the sentient planet itself, which probes for and examines the thoughts of the human beings who are analyzing it. Solaris has the ability to manifest their secret, guilty concerns in human form, for each scientist to personally confront.

Solaris is one of Lem’s philosophic explorations of man’s anthropomorphic limitations. First published in Warsaw in 1961.
